Growing up in a family of freelance creatives I saw first-hand how frustrating it was for them to manage and chase payments. During our careers, Rob & I then witnessed how creators were often paid late or their payments were treated as an afterthought by big companies, so we decided to do something about it. Bread was born.

Both my Dad and Sister quit their jobs and started their own business because they felt they wanted to carve their own path and I suppose that rubbed off on me. Having worked a myriad of jobs, from Invoice Finance right through to Extra work on movies, I realised there are people like me out there who need support to go it alone.
